3 The one OPEC Fund project which contributed to SDG target 16.6 (Table 14) was a US$100 million policy-based loan to the Five OPEC Fund projects approved since 2018 supported targets 17.4 and 17.11 under SDG 17 (Table 15) , which focus on improving debt sustainability and increasing exports of developing countries. This stocktaking exercise illustrates the wide variety of development causes OPEC Fund projects support. While for this first Development Effectiveness Report the OPEC Fund reviewed all projects approved since 2018 for their expected SDG contributions, each subsequent edition of this report will take stock of the SDG alignment of projects approved since the last review.
