Two OPEC Fund projects approved since 2018 supported SDG target 11.2 (Table 11) , the most significant of which is the OPEC Fund’s US$120 million policy-based loan to Panama

which, among other climate action measures, includes activities aimed at enhancing electric and low-carbon modes of transport.

7 OPEC Fund projects contributed to target 12.a (Table 12) and its focus on promoting more sustainable production pat- terns. All seven projects promoted the increase in renewable energy capacity, which is an SDG indicator under target 12.a.

Projects approved since 2018 include loans to Cameroon (US$50 million) and Pakistan (US$72 million) for increasing their hydropower potential.
