Completed operations and those that had reached early operating maturity benefited 2.7 million people with improved transport infrastructure.
In the same period, 46 non-trade and 26 trade finance operations that had reached completion or early operating maturity benefited 2.7 million people with improved transport infrastructure. These projects also built or rehabilitated 250 km of roads, installed 8,800 km of electricity transmission lines, provided 305,000 households with electricity access and 389,000 households with improved water or sanitation services, assisted 82,000 farmers and upgraded 11,500 hectares of land. Additionally, these projects benefited more than 14,000 students through improved access to education, 352,000 people through enhanced access to healthcare and 6,500 MSMEs through financial support. They also facilitated US$774 million in trade, helped create 55,000 jobs, empowered 250,000 women and contributed to reforms by supporting 59 legal, regulatory and institutional measures. Most results were delivered in Africa, followed by AC and Asia. The OPEC Fund’s delivery is rooted in its visionary mandate, unwavering support from its member countries and its dedicated employees. In his speech, President Alkhalifa emphasized: “It is the OPEC Fund staff who drive this institution forward. Like those who came before us, and those who will follow, we are stewards of the OPEC Fund, and we should feel pride for all that we and our partners have accomplished.”

From mid-2024 to mid-2025 all 64 approved operations contributed to at least one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). Of particular note:
