THE OPEC FUND:
The OPEC Fund for International Development was established in 1976 and to date has committed more than US$30 billion to development projects in over 125 countries worldwide with an estimated total project cost of more than US$200 billion. Founded in the spirit of solidarity, the OPEC Fund is mostly active in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. The institution offers loans, equity, trade finance, guarantees and grants to public and private sector partners, covering standalone projects and comprehensive development programs. The OPEC Fund has a long history of co-financing with partners in the development community based on an efficient business model, allowing it to be agile in response to partner country needs.
