Audiences in a Stormy Information Ecosystem” and “Sharing Ideas for a New Communications Partnership.” Kate Robertson, Co-Founder and CEO of One Young World, an organization promoting youth empowerment, delivered remarks on “Engaging Young Women and Men for Development and International Cooperation.” Participants in the event included some of the largest players in the field of development cooperation. The OECD Development Assistance Committee is the leading bilateral forum for providers of development cooperation. It also serves as an example what successful development can look like: The OECD was established in 1960 in succession of the Marshall Plan for the reconstruction of Europe after the second world war. Today, Europe is the most prosperous continent in the world and the OECD is dedicating huge efforts to the sustainable development
for Sustainable Development.”

By helping set international principles and standards for development co-operation, monitoring how donors’ deliver on their commitments and providing a wealth of statistical resources, the OECD has become a vital actor in the global development community. The workshop offered plenty of food for thought, providing opportunities to exchange views and share experiences.
