Development Effectiveness Report 2022

PROJECT OPEC FUND RESULTS

The previous chapters described how the OPEC Fund deploys its resources in its mission to support develop- ment around the globe, and to what extent projects are aligned to the SDGs. To assess the extent to which OPEC Fund resources have helped to change people’s lives, it is necessary to look at their actual development results. In an effort to gain more insights on the effects of its work, the OPEC Fund undertook a comprehensive review of the documented main results of all OPEC Fund projects at

completion (public sector) or, for the private sector, early operating maturity 10 (EOM) between 2018 and July 2022. 11 The OPEC Fund will undertake this stocktaking exercise on an annual basis and present its results in each year’s Development Effectiveness Report.

Figure 14 (below) provides a snapshot of the main develop- ment results of all analyzed operations gathered on the basis of available information.
