I would like to thank the OPEC Fund for International Development for its long- term and reliable cooperation in providing financial support to the construction and rehabilitation of highways in the Kyrgyz Republic. The main task of the project is to promote overall socio-economic development and improve the quality of life of people residing in the project area in particular and the country as a whole. The road will improve people's access to markets and social facilities, and the road upgrade will support nearby industrial fa- cilities and tourism, which is an important economic activity in these regions.

The upgraded road will support regional trade and the development of tourism. It will contribute to the overall socio-eco- nomic well-being of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Eurasia region. The fourth phase of this project after the successful conclu- sion of three earlier stages of development demonstrates the excellent cooperation and delivery among all partners involved.
